Lara MP Ella George says work from home makes sense for up to two days a week.
People across the Geelong region are still being urged to make submissions on Engage Victoria on how the laws would impact them.
George says the government wants to see people who can work from home take advantage of the laws.
“It protects the ability of an employee to work from home,” she said.
“Under the proposed law, if you can reasonably do your job from home, you’ll have the right to do so for two days a week.”
She added it has massive advantages for families.
“We know it works for families, especially when you have kids and are juggling pick ups and drop offs and childcare.
“You want to keep working, you want to keep delivering for your family. This is a step towards helping with that.”
