Geelong sprinter Mia Gross has taken a big step towards her Paris dream at the National Athletics Championships.
Gross – who turns 23 on Thursday – picked up a silver medal at the Australian Athletics Championships in Adelaide in the 200m.
She finished the race in a time of 23.38, finishing just shy of her P-B of 23.26.
Gross ran a 23.50 in her qualifying race to make the final, coming up against national 200m champion Torrie Lewis in the final.
Lewis claimed the win with a time of 23.05, with Gross second and Olympian Riley Day finishing third in 23.65.
The 2024 Olympics in Paris start on July 26, with Gross being talked about as a possible selection for the national athletics team.
