A State Highway Patrol Solo Unit is set to lay charges on a disqualified driver in Norlane who was spotted on an illegally modified E-Bike Monday afternoon.
The 35-year-old rider didn’t have a helmet, and was in possession of an Electrically Power-Assisted Cycle (EPAC) that exceeded legal motor and watt limits.
The Norlane man will be charged on summons with an invalid licence and other related traffic offences.
The crackdown is a part of the statewide Operation Roadwise, set to target community safety on the roads this Christmas period.
With authorities seeking to reduce road trauma, Geelong motorists can expect speed, breath and drug tests, alongside vehicle roadworthiness checks until the 1st of January.
