Police believe a man who died in a shed fire at a house in Lorne was not a resident of the address.
Fire crews were called to the Howard Street property around 8:30 Sunday morning where they quickly put out a fire in the structure by the house.
It was after the blaze was extinguished that they found the deceased inside.
Another man in his 40’s was taken by paramedics from the scene to Lorne hospital with injuries to his upper body, but in a stable condition.
He’s believed to have been trying to assist at the scene.
Police detectives involved in the investigation are trying to understand the circumstances surrounding the fatal fire.
The deceased is yet to be identified and police have not said if they know why the man was at the property.
