Locals charged over drugs, theft and weapons in Mildura

Police have charged a 22-year-old Grovedale man and a 30-year-old from Queenscliff for drug trafficking in Mildura.

The two men were allegedly captured after a stolen car was intercepted in the north west city last Friday around midday.

A 32-year-old Mildura man is suspected of being behind the wheel of the vehicle, where police say they discovered drugs, ammunition and weapons.

The trio have been charged with trafficking a commercial amount of methamphetamine, vehicle theft, stolen goods and weapons offences including possessing an imitation firearm.

The Mildura man was also charged with dangerous driving while under police pursuit, and bail offences.

They’re due before the Mildura Magistrates’ Court on April 10.
