Another week of waiting for Cats fans to get their hands on footy tickets for the early part of the season.

Tickets for club members for games at the MCG and Docklands Stadium will go on sale to club members on February 17.

The league is also set to stagger venue and state sales to avoid crashes of the ticketing system.

The AFL has also announced for the eighth year straight general admission tickets have been frozen at their previous price – $27 for adults, $18 for concession and $5 for juniors under 14.

The younger kids will enter free.

AFL boss Andrew Dillon says its a great outcome.

“The AFL is pleased to continue to freeze prices for general admission and family tickets – on any given weekend, there could be up to five games of footy in Victoria, and we are committed to providing quality and affordable games that everyone can enjoy.

“We can’t wait for the historic return of Origin next week in front of a sold-out crowd in Perth before we quickly turn our attention to next month’s Opening Round and Round 1.

“The feeling and excitement of footy is unrivalled, and the wait is nearly over.”
