A man has been airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition after a crash north of Geelong.
Emergency services were called to Anakie Road in Lovely Banks just before 5am on Wednesday, where a ute had collided with a power pole.
The driver was treated for life-threatening upper and lower body injuries before being flown to hospital.

The man in his 20s was the sole occupant of the Holden ute, which police say disintegrated on impact.
