A man has been arrested after an incident on the Spirit of Tasmania.
The ship had just departed Devonport on its voyage to Geelong when it was turned around when a man allegedly started attacking people.
One witness said the man has a bladed weapon and started destroying property, leading to the ship returning to port.

The man was isolated away from other passengers while the ship made its way back.
The man was arrested by Tasmanian police upon its return to port.
The ship then went back on the water heading for Geelong.
