Corio MP Richard Marles isn’t saying much about a possible meeting with US President Donald Trump at the NATO Summit in the Netherlands.
The deputy PM has refused to comment on speculation the pair will meet on the sidelines of the summit
The US President is planning to meet with the Indo-Pacific Four – which is made up of Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea.
Marles said he wouldn’t be drawn on a meeting.
“I’m not about to speculate on what meetings I have at NATO,” he said.
“I’m really looking forward to the meetings at NATO.
“We’ll work up our program of meetings which go alongside the main NATO meetings, and we’ll take it from there.”
Marles is expected to hold several meetings during the summit.
