Lara’s Emily Cooke has been announced as one of the faces of the Good Friday Appeal.
The 10yo has a rare type of brain tumour that cannot be surgically removed.
Emily was diagnosed when the family were living in Sydney.
She has since been in hospital more than 40 times for various procedures or infections.
However it has not stopped Emily from playing soccer, cricket and more recently underwater hockey.
Emily also shares her story on a Facebook page – Living with Emily and Rainbow.
She will be sharing the role with two-year-old Finley Every, who has spina bifida.
The Appeal raises money for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
The event is being held on March 29 this year – more information can be found here.
