Two men are facing charges after allegedly stealing 250-thousand dollars from elderly victims in Victoria and WA.
The men from Corio and Werribee are alleged to have gained remote access to bank accounts of SEVEN victims in eight months from June last year.
Police executed four search warrants at addresses in Corio, Werribee and Geelong West before laying charges.
“A 30-year-old Corio man has been charged with 71 offences, including obtain property by deception, theft, possess proceeds of crime, obtain financial advantage by deception and handle stolen goods,” police said.
“A 33-year-old Werribee man has been charged with 71 offences, including obtain property by deception, theft, possess proceeds of crime, obtain financial advantage by deception and handle stolen goods.”
The pair to face Geelong Magistrates Court in October.
