Queenscliffe and Geelong have been ‘named and shames’ for the number of poker machines in the region.
According to the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission, the region is home to almost 1375 pokies in both pubs and clubs.
The data has revealed punters have lost $34,766,409 in the first three months of 2025, second only to the City of Whittlesea and the Shire of Nillumbik in Melbourne.
All up, Victorians have gambled away $755m on the first quarter of the year.
It comes as the Allen Labor Government considers the introduction of cashless gaming.
