Another two pieces of a launch boat that ran aground off the Bellarine several months have been found this week.

In recent days Port Phillip Sea Pilots has reported that the two pieces of debris from the PV Corsair were located and removed from our waters and shoreline.

The first piece was seen bobbing in the sea close to the Point Lonsdale Pier and retrieved shortly after.

The second, smaller piece was spotted and reported to the Pilot Station, with Port Phillip Sea Pilot staff retrieving and then disposing of the article.

Police and the Coast Guard at Queenscliff were called to help rescue the crew aboard the Corsair on October 5 last year, after the vessel entered shallow water surrounding Point Lonsdale Reef.

It was returning after collecting a pilot from onboard a container ship at about 11pm that night before getting into trouble.

The crew were all rescued and escaped uninjured as the Corsair ran aground.
