More Wyndham locals are taking up solar power.
Figures show 44 per cent of homes in areas including Werribee, Hoppers Crossing and Tarneit have had solar panel installed on their properties.
Regional centres to have had the highest solar update are Mildura and Shepparton.

The Victorian government says more than five-million solar panels have been installed on rooftops across the state under the Solar Homes program.
It says the program represents 13 per cent of the total renewable capacity installed in the state.
