Geelong police officers have saved a four-month-old puppy from a sickening attack by her owner in Geelong West.
Police say they received a call from Triple Zero, alerting them to a man beating up and stomping on the Staffordshire pup outside Aldi on Albert Street around 11am on Wednesday morning.
Two officers quickly intervened, rescuing the puppy who suffered bruising, scratches and a fierce scolding during the attack.

A 29-year-old Rippleside man was processed by the RSPCA for causing injuries to an animal and will be face the Geelong Magistrates Court.
The puppy was taken to the Geelong Animal Welfare Society where she’ll now be available for adoption to a suitable owner.
