A man’s been taken to hospital after a collision in Newtown close on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Minerva Road and Aberdeen Street around 3pm.
The intersection was closed while crews brought the incident under control, causing traffic to bank up around Geelong College ahead of school pick-up time.

Paramedics say a male patient was taken to Geelong University Hospital in what’s believed to be a stable condition.
The incident was deemed safe in about 20 minutes and the intersection has since reopened.
