A local project to shine a light on the number of people still on the states housing register.
Barwon South West Homeless Network is setting out to make 60,000 origami homes as part of homeless week.
It highlights the 60,000 people on the register who still need a home.
“Victoria’s homelessness crisis is unacceptable, and local homelessness agencies are calling for urgent solutions,” Jo Baillon said.
“The first step to ending homelessness is ensuring people have access to housing they can afford,” Rebecca Callahan added.
“There needs to be a commitment to build a pipeline of public and community housing beyond the
Big Housing Build.”
