A man and woman have been approached by offenders wearing balaclavas in Corio, one reportedly carrying a machete.
Police have been told the pair were walking along Hastings Way around 9pm on Wednesday when the silver Volkswagen pulled up.
The four occupants approached them but no threats or demands were made, and nobody was injured in the incident.

The victims ran away and the offenders fled in the vehicle.
Police said it’s not believed the parties are known to each other, with their investigation ongoing.
