More pain for V/Line passengers on the Geelong line.
Major infrastructure works are happening between Wednesday and Friday, meaning commuters will be taking buses and trains between Geelong and Melbourne.
Chris Miller from Transport Victoria said there was a good reason for the changes.
“This is so crews can get stuck into finishing off the platforms at the new West Tarneit station,” he said.
“We need to stop the trains because crews have to be on the rail lines to build these new platforms at West Tarneit.
“We know it’s really painful, it’s really disruptive so we’re getting it done as quickly as possible.”
He encouraged people to get onto the V/Line website to plan their journey.
There will also be disruptions on Tuesday night, with buses replacing trains for the entire journey from 8.30pm to the last service.
