RSLs across the region are also holding their own services.

An ANZAC Day march will also be held on Geelong’s Malop Street from 11am Saturday, before another service at 11.30.

Locals can head to the RSL Victoria website to find out where services are.

Meantime, police will also be out on the roads over the weekend, as part of a statewide operation.

Sergeant Aaron DeGraaff from Geelong Highway Patrol said people needed to be careful on the roads.

“We need to take care on the roads to make sure everyone gets to their location safely,” he said.

“We’re focussing on speed, and substance driving, so alcohol and drugs.”
