Essendon champion Terry Daniher and Drysdale footballer James Breust will take part in the 2026 Big Freeze Geelong.
Terry confirmed to take part in the event following the death of brother Neale earlier this week.
James – who is Neale’s nephew – will be sending the sliders down into the cold water below.
“I can’t thank the community enough for the love and support we have received this week,” James said.
“It’s an incredible loss; Neale was an amazing human. He inspire so many and will be dearly missed.”
Former Cat Cameron Mooney, current Cat Tanner Bruhn and Olympian Mia Gross among those who will go down the slide alongside Terry.
And there ended up being no question as to whether Terry and James would be involved.
“It’s time for us to continue the fight and ‘play on’ for Neale,” he said.
“Grab you beanies, and I’ll see you at the freeze.”
