A man has been taken to University Hospital Geelong following an assault.
Police were called to an address in Lara just before 12.30 this morning to reports of an injured man.
However they believe the 49-year-old had been assaulted at another location earlier in the night.

He suffered non-life threatening injuries.
It is believed the people involved know each other.
Investigations are continuing and anyone with information is being urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
