An earlier hearing was told witnesses had said they saw Mr Kirkwood’s car swerving and almost colliding with other vehicles before running into Ms Doak’s car.

He later returned an alleged BAC reading of 0.116.

He has secured bail on the condition that he refrains from driving and drinking alcohol, undergo drug and alcohol screening twice a week, comply with the Bail Safe program and adhere to an 8pm to 6am curfew.
