It has been a busy night for SES crews across the region, following strong winds.
There were 20 calls for assistance for local crews on the Surf Coast during the night, while Bellarine crews were called to 30 jobs for help.
Portland, in the state’s south west, was the busiest area in Victoria, with SES crews responding to 70 calls for assistance.
Most of the jobs were for downed trees.
Aireys Inlet recorded wind gusts of 102km/h during the night, while gusts of 89 km/h were recorded at Avalon.
Geelong had gusts of 87km/h and Wyndham 91 km/h.
Avalon also recorded 17mm of rain since 11am Friday, while Geelong has had 18.4mm.
Thousands of locals also remain without power, with Powercor not expecting power back on until Saturday afternoon.
A Watch and Act warning that was in place for the region was downgraded to Advice level on Saturday morning.
Authorities say damaging winds are expected to ease and move to the state’s east during the day.
