A student accommodation building has been evacuated at Deakin University’s Waurn Ponds campus after a roof collapse.
FRV responded at 5:13am on Christmas Eve, after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a roof collapse.
Crews arrived in six minutes, finding the issue was sparked by water damage.

The building was quickly evacuated while firies worked to make the scene safe.
FRV said no injuries were reported.
The incident was deemed under control at 5:26am.
