Police have spoken to a South Australian truck driver over a fatal hit-run at Truganina.
It’s understood the man’s being treated as a witness to the incident, which happened on the Western Freeway late Monday night.
A witness says two trucks were in the vicinity of the incident and were travelling through the area at the time, and a search is underway for the second truck and its driver after the 23-year-old Thorn Hill Park man died at the scene.
Investigators believe the deceased had been driving a white 4WD when his vehicle left the road and crashed into wire rope barriers.
Police say they’ve received reports the driver of the crashed car was seen acting erratically around 11.30pm on Monday, December 18.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit say they’re still working through the circumstances surrounding the crash and are wanting help in identifying other vehicles travelling through the area at the time.
They’re calling for witnesses or people with dashcam footage contact Crime Stoppers.
