Fire crews have taken more than an hour to bring a shop blaze fire under control in Hoppers Crossing.

They were called to Hogans Corner shopping centre in Bronson Circuit just after 3am, finding the business property well alight and flames spreading to two neighbouring stores.

FRV crews with breathing apparatus attacked the flames, but say the thick smoke impinged on many shops in the centre.
