The Geelong Highway patrol has revealed details on some of the most dangerous post-Christmas road offenders, intercepted as part of Operation Roadwise.
The most shocking case saw a joint effort between Highway Patrol and the Airwing find a vehicle spotted doing 184 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
The vehicle was detected along the Princes Freeway in Lara, and located in Corio.
The driver had their license suspended immediately and their vehicle impounded, set to face court at a later date.
In another case, a Werribee man was found travelling 130 km/h along an 80 km/h zone on Portarlington Road in Curlewis, allegedly returned a positive drug test.
The 42-year-old has his vehicle impounded, and will face court.
A third vehicle was detected doing 144 km/h in a100 km/h zone on Murradoc Road in Drysdale, the 20-year-old Lalor man losing his license for six months.
Police say they’ll continue to be out in force over the festive season, keeping local roads safe.
