Operation Nexus was held during the break, with police from Geelong, Wyndham and the Surf Coast taking part.

Over half of the offences on roads in the region were for speeding.

Eleven drink drivers were intercepted, while another 17 allegedly tested positive for drug driving.

Fines were also handed out for unlicensed or disqualified driving, not wearing a seatbelt and using a mobile phone while behind the wheel.

Forty-six vehicles were found to be unregistered, while officers impounded 15 cars.

While Easter has wrapped up, Victorian school holidays are continuing and police are warning they will still be out on the roads anytime, anywhere.
