Dramas for the Spirit of Tasmania as it was about to set sail from Geelong last night.
It’s departure was delayed for hours after a problem with a bow thruster – its believed it ingested a rope.
Travelers were left frustrated and hungry as they waited on the dock to board – staff eventually ordered pizzas.

Passengers taking to social media to complain about the delays as the night went on.
The ship eventually left after 11pm.
It’s another blow for the Spirit, who currently have their new ship sitting in the bay unused due to a lack of facilities in Tasmania meaning the ship cannot yet be used.
