Surf Coast Hwy to close during rail blitz

The new rail bridge is in place over the highway (Regional Rail Revival).

Part of the Surf Coast highway will be closed at night for three weeks as part of the South Geelong to Waurn Ponds rail duplication.

The road will be closed between the level crossing and Baanip Boulevard between 9.30pm and 6am weeknights from next Monday to December 15.

The South Geelong to Waurn Ponds rail duplication is part of a massive construction blitz over coming months.

The Surf Coast highway will be closed between Baanip Boulevard and the level crossing on weeknights from next Monday to December 15 as part of key infrastructure works.

Coaches will be replacing evening V/Line trains over three nights as part of the works, between November 26 and 28.
