A teenage boy from the Wyndham area is among three males arrested after a lengthy police pursuit through Melbourne’s west last night.
Police had been called to an alleged ‘hoon meet’ at Truganina just before midnight with the police Air Wing spotting a blue Ford Falcon doing a burnout on on Permas Way. Two passengers were hanging out of the windows.
Westgate Highway Patrol officers attempted to intercept the vehicle, but it took off and allegedly drove on the wrong side of the road through Truganina, Tarneit, Williams Landing and Laverton.
Stop sticks were successfully deployed on Bronzewing Street, Williams Landing before the Falcon came to a complete stop at the intersection of intersection of Whittaker Avenue and Bladin Street in Laverton.
Three males were found hiding in nearby bushes where arrests were made.
The 15-year-old was released and is expected to be issued with a number of penalty notices for traffic offences.
Two men, aged 23 and 26 both from Manor Lakes, are expected to be interviewed later today.
