A teenager from the Wyndham area has been hit with charges over a series of aggravated car-jackings.
Police charging the 16-year-old in relation to a series of alleged incidents in West Footscray in the past month.
“The charges follow three incidents in which a group of six male offenders riding motorcycles allegedly assaulted three motorcyclists in the vicinity of Sunshine Road between 12am and 11pm on 19 September,” police said in a statement.
“The first incident occurred on Napier Street, where a 40-year-old man was pulled over on the side of the road before the offenders boxed him in about 12.20am. The man was assaulted and his motorbike stolen.
“The second incident occurred approximately ten minutes later on Sunshine Road about 12.30am, where it’s alleged the same group of males approached a 32-year-old man, boxed him in and assaulted him before stealing his scooter.
“Later that night, the group allegedly approached a female rider on Sunshine Road about 11pm, and it’s alleged the victim, a 27-year-old Wantirna South woman, was shoved from her motorcycle before being tasered and assaulted with a baton.”
The teen was arrested when police executed raids in the Wyndham area.
