A teenager has been busted allegedly travelling more than twice the speed limit in Corio.
The teen was found by police travelling at an alleged speed of 218kmph on Sunday night just after 11pm.
The teen was travelling on the Princes highway, which is a 100kmph zone.
Police say the teen was imediately stripped of his license.
“Officers caught up with the vehicle in Avalon and intercepted the male driver, who also had two passengers on board,” a sytatement said.
“The 19-year-old Bundoora man was arrested, and his licence was immediately suspended.
“He was charged with reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, drive at a speed dangerous, exceed the speed limit and fail to display p-plates.”
The teen was bailed to face court in May.
