Teen remanded over alleged stabbing

A teenager accused of an alleged stabbing at Market Square last week has been denied bail.

The teen faced court in Melbourne yesterday, who heard the alleged victim had stabilised after nearly dying following the stabbing.

The accused remanded to a youth correctional facility to face court on March 18.

The court has encouraged the teen to make use of the support services while on remand, with a child protection representative suggetsing a “circuit breaker” would be valuable to the accused.

The magistrate saying the servcies on offer would be of great value to the accused.
