Theft twist in Lara collision

Police have revealed one of the vehicles involved in a crash in Lara had allegedly been stolen.

Investigators said an MG had been taken during an aggravated burglary in Newcomb just after 7am.

It was then involved in a collision in Lara just before 11am, police saying the Air Wing took up a monitoring position as the car travelled at high speeds.

The driver, a 40-year-old man, was taken to hospital under police guard.
