Third bus drivers strike hits Geelong

Bus strikes are once again hitting a number of services on the Geelong network.

CDC Victoria drivers have announced industrial action, that will see 11 Geelong routes cancelled on Tuesday July 1.

It follows unsuccessful negotiations between the Transport Workers Union and the operator, with drivers seeking improved pay and conditions.

School buses will run, as they did with the second day of industrial action.

Local routes impacted:

  • Route 1: North Shore Station – Deakin University via Geelong City
  • Route 10: Lara Station – Corio Village SC via Lara South
  • Route 11: Lara Station – Lara East via Rennie St and Lara Lifestyle Village
  • Route 12: Lara Station – Lara West
  • Route 19: Geelong – Bannockburn
  • Route 20: Geelong Station – Corio SC
  • Route 22: Geelong Station – North Shore Station via Anakie Rd
  • Route 23: Corio SC – North Shore Station
  • Route 24: Geelong Station – North Geelong Station via Newtown
  • Route 25: Geelong Station – Bell Post Hill
  • Route 43: Geelong Station – Deakin University via Highton
