Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash in Belmont on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the two car collision at the intersection of High Street and Laura Avenue at around 12.45pm.
A Fire Rescue Victoria spokesperson said a driver was trapped in one of the cars, with firefighters working to remove the driver said door of the vehicle, before the person was able to be free.

Paramedics say two people have been taken to University Hospital Geelong.
