Woman arrested over alleged brazen assault

A Geelong woman has been arrested over an alleged brazen assault in Geelong’s CBD on Friday morning.

Police were called to the corner of Brougham Street and Moorabool Street about 11.30am to reports a man and woman got into an altercation.

Police arrived to find a 57-year-old Norlane man injured, he was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 31-year-old Geelong woman was arrested at the scene and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

It is believed the parties are known to each other.
