A woman’s been taken to hospital in a critical condition after she was reportedly attacked by dogs in Winchelsea in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Emergency services were called to reports a woman screaming at Trebeck Court about 4am, with responding police finding the injured woman being circled by two dogs.
Officers used OC spray to separate the dogs from the woman, with the 54-year-old from Winchelsea taken to hospital with serious injuries.
She is in University Hospital Geelong in a critical condition.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined, but the animals were contained and have since been taken by council rangers.
