Police say they’ve identified a woman struck by a car in Truganina.
The 23-year-old from St Albans suffered critical injuries after she was hit by a car early Tuesday morning while crossing Leakes road.
The female driver stopped at the scene, however the identity of the victim was not known until overnight.
The injured woman’s not been named, but is described as being African in appearance, around 166cm tall with a scar on her forehead and burn scars on her right leg.
In an effort to find out who she was detectives released an image of a notebook believed to have belonged to her.
She remains in hospital.
