Upgrades to facilities have been completed at the Portarlington Recreation Reserve.
Works through the council and state government have seen major upgrades completed to the facility.
The upgrades including two change rooms and amenities for women and girls, trainers’ room, two umpires’ change rooms, accessible public amenities, a first aid room and storage room.
A new synthetic cricket wicket and new training facility were added to the site.
Two new scoreboards were also added to the facility, as well as new car parks.
Member for Bellarine Alison Marchant said it was a major addition to the area.
“These new upgrades mark a major step forward for local sport in this growing Bellarine suburb, creating more opportunities to participate, strengthening development pathways, and attracting major events to the region,” she said.
“High quality sport and recreation facilities make it easier for Bellarine locals to get involved, enjoy the many benefits of community sport, and lead healthy, active lifestyles.”
