Heath Jamieson has put the pause in the Bellarine season to good use as Queenscliff looks to build on its 2-4 start to the season.

The experienced Coutas mentor has told K rock Football’s Beyond the Boundary podcast the opening six rounds had revealed some focus areas where his team needed to improve.

“We spent the whole pre-season on how we wanted to move the ball and how we wanted to defend,” Jamieson said.

“But, there were just some basics of the modern game that we haven’t captured.

“Until the games start, it can be difficult to see areas of our game that we really need to work on.

“One thing we have identified is that when we haven’t got the ball, where we position ourselves on the ground probably hasn’t been ideal.
