BARWON Heads will be without Mat Dyer for Saturday’s blockbuster clash with Anglesea after accepting a one-week suspension for an incident in Saturday’s win over Drysdale.

The 2018 Ash medallist was cited following a request from the Hawks for the AFL Barwon Match Review Panel to look at the vision of an incident involving their captain Mitch McGuire during the third quarter of the match at Howard Harmer Oval.

It’s Dyer’s second suspension in as many seasons, after he received a one-match ban in 2019 for making forceful front-on contact on Newcomb’s Scott Jennings.

Coincidently, it also ruled him out of a match against Anglesea.
