Meanwhile, Portarlington has farewelled former AFL player Connor Menadue.

Menadue, who played at the highest level with Richmond and North Melbourne, has joined Central Highlands club Gordon.

The 29-year-old played 22 games and kicked 57 goals for the Demons, including a team-high 34 from 13 games this year, good enough for seventh overall in the competition.

“Connor’s made the decision to move on to pursue further work opportunities, and with where he’s based, it was becoming tough for him to fully commit to our program,” Demons coach Sam Scott said.
