Drysdale has welcomed back experienced trio James Breust, Nick Egan and Tom Ruggles for a crucial clash with Modewarre at Drysdale Recreation Reserve.
The Hawks need a win to ensure they’re inside the top three entering the second half of the season.
A victory would also open up a three-game gap on the sixth-placed Warriors.
Breust has told K rock Football’s Beyond the Boundary podcast that Drysdale is chasing consistency after a disappointing loss to Geelong Amateur and a gritty win over Ocean Grove since the bye.
“We had a really tough game against Ammos a couple of weeks ago,” he said.
“They got the better of us in the last quarter; they’re a really slick outfit.
“Modewarre, they’re always a tough, contested team and hard to beat, so we’ve got to be on the ball on Saturday.”
One-time Rookie of the Year Kyle Davis is unavailable, while Rohan McRae returns to the under-18s.
Queenscliff has named debutant Max Breisch among three changes to its team for the meeting with Portarlington at the Couta Bowl.
Captain of the club’s under-18s, Breisch is the son of 2006 Torquay premiership player Richard, who also earned GFL Team of the Year honours when played at Geelong West-St Peter’s.
The Coutas have also welcomed back small forward Will Baker and ruck Michael Randone.
They replace the omitted trio of Jonas Seecamp, Callum Taylor and Patrick Bradley.
Geelong VFL big man Kye Annand has been named in the Ocean Grove team for its meeting with high-flying Anglesea at Ray Menzies Oval.
Annand lined up with the Cats in their win over the GWS Giants last week, gathering eight disposals and taking six marks.
The Grubbers have also welcomed back Grady Slocombe for his first game since Round 2.
They replace star ruck Ed Dayman (leg) and Fletcher Long.
The Roos have recalled Noah Collins, Tom Presnell, Ike Hardman, and Liam Carolan, replacing the managed quartet of Tom Couch, Liam Holland, Fergus Huntington, and Kobe Iversen-Smith.
Torquay has added Tom Grace, Jesse Dawson and Luke Mahony to an extended squad for its Battle of the Breaks clash with Barwon Heads at McCartney Oval.
Grace and Dawson both missed the win over Portarlington, while Mahony returned via the reserves last week, having not played since Round 4.
Jacob Ireland (managed) and Paul Burchell are the confirmed outs.
Paddy Hughes has retained his place in the Geelong VFL team.
The Seagulls will be without Angus Ford, who will make his Geelong Falcons debut, while Kyle Maher is unavailable.
They’ve been replaced by Tom Swift and Lachie Slorach.
Geelong Amateur welcomes back ball magnet Blake Sutterby from injury for its trip to Grinter Reserve and a meeting with Newcomb.
He is one of four inclusions, with reserves captain Hamish Scott, Jack Gaspari and Patrick Ryan recalled from the reserves.
They replace ruck Nick Nott (managed), Jai Sheahan (unavailable), Daniel Grose (hamstring awareness), and Jarrad Jans (hamstring).
The Power has promoted Angus Farrow and Oli Marshall from its reserves team as replacements for Sam McDonald (injured) and Peter Gordyn (managed)
