After a four-year stint in the GFNL, and a couple of appearances at VFL level, Jack Leonard will return to Bellarine club Queenscliff for the 2026 season.
The Coutas have confirmed Leonard, a Newtown & Chilwell junior, will return to this year’s beaten semi-finalists, where he played 11 senior games in 2021.
Since leaving Queenscliff, the defender spent two years at North Shore and two at St Joseph’s, playing 40 senior games.
He also made two appearances for Geelong’s VFL team in 2022, the same year he was named in the GFNL Team of the Year.
Leonard joins Felix Henderson as another confirmed departure from Drew Oval.
Henderson, who played 57 senior games for Joeys, including this year’s grand final loss to St Mary’s, will join his brother Jude at Ballarat league club Sebastopol.
Big man Joey Chaplin is heading back to the WAFL.
