Newcomb has followed up the signing of Logan Wagener with the addition of a pair of his Leopold premiership teammates.

The Bellarine club, which confirmed the long-expected return of Wagener on Thursday night, announced the arrivals of experienced defender Andrew Pepper and smooth-moving midfielder Luke Justin over the weekend.

Originally from Hamilton, Pepper first played in the GFNL with Geelong West-St Peter’s in 2015 while he was on the list of VFL club Werribee.

He crossed to Leopold in 2016, featuring in the Polders maiden GFNL flag that year, and remained at the club until the end of 2021.

Pepper returned to Hamilton for the 2022 season, where he was named in the Hampden League Team of the Year before venturing back to Memorial Park to play a role in Leopold’s back-to-back grand final wins over South Barwon.

He played 114 senior matches for the Polders.

Justin, who will take on a development and performance role with Newcomb, joined Leopold in 2022 from Warrnambool and District club, Kolora-Noorat.

He missed the Polders’ grand final loss to St Mary’s that year, but featured in the flags that followed over the next two years.

However, Justin’s 2025 season was hampered by a serious groin injury that limited him to just two matches.

The Power started the season with a 3-1 win-loss record, but didn’t win again until upsetting grand final-bound Geelong Amateur in the final round of the home-and-away season.
