Newcomb has added more GFNL talent to its improving list, signing Ben Clark from St Joseph’s.

Clark, the younger brother of Werribee VFL captain Jesse, played 45 senior games at Joeys after making his debut in 2022.

He made 14 appearances in the opening 16 rounds of the 2025 season, but after being dropped ahead of the Round 17 win over St Albans, he was unable to regain his place at 2pm.

Clark was primarily used in defence at St Joseph’s; however, he is expected to see time in the midfield at the Power.

“He will be a welcome addition to our midfield group, with the size and versatility to play all over the ground,” a statement on Newcomb’s Facebook page said.

Clark joins Leopold premiership trio Logan Wagener, Andrew Pepper and Luke Justin among the arrivals at Newcomb, which is looking to snap a finals drought extending back to when it last won the premiership in 2007.
