Tom Baker has departed Barwon Heads after just one season, returning to Hampden league club Camperdown.
The 19-year-old led the Seagulls’ goalkicking with 26 majors from 16 games, with a best of four against eventual premier Anglesea in Round 15.
“Tommy is a forward/midfielder who seems to always have plenty of time to dispose of the footy,” a post on Camperdown’s Facebook page said.
“Tommy also has the ability to kick crafty goals when down forward.
“Tommy’s footy smarts, crafty skills, and composure is exactly what we need to keep our young group growing towards success!”
Baker joins club great Mitch Herbison as the players confirmed as not pulling on a Barwon Heads jumper in 2026.
The Seagulls, who finished sixth for the second consecutive year, have added four players so far this offseason: Sam Christsensen (St Mary’s), Charley Donohue (Nirranda), Mitch Jensen (Wedderburn), Harry Prout (Whitehorse)
Meanwhile, Anglesea has added Josh Miller from Edithvale Aspendale in the Mornington Peninsula league.
Miller, whose partner Joss Bennetts has signed with the Roos’ netball section, spent time with Talent League club Sandringham Dragons, and has also played with VAFA club St Bede’s/Mentone.
He is Anglesea’s third confirmed off-season addition, joining Ryan Bell (Anglesea) and Joel Hogan (South Barwon).
